Philip B. Heymann

Philip B. Heymann was appointed the James Barr Ames Professor of Law in 1989. He also served as Associate Dean from 1985 through 1987 and as Director of the Center for Criminal Justice since 1981. Professor Heymann teaches several courses including Decision Making and Leadership in the Public Sector; Privacy, Technology, and National Security; and Surveillance and the Fourth Amendment. Professor Heymann received his A.B. in philosophy from Yale University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
