Product Description
Abstract
Inside Out, a major sports equipment retailer in northeastern Pennsylvania, plans to eliminate its winter sports division. It has been the sole provider of rental skis and snowboards for the Camelback, Eagle Rock, and Jack Frost ski areas. Two months ago, however, the US Department of Agriculture began threatening to close all three ski areas because several families of endangered lynx, usually found only in the western states, have taken up residence at the resorts. Vail Mountain Guides, a subsidiary of Colorado’s Vail Mountain Resorts, is looking to expand their collection of pro-model equipment, and the Inside Out inventory represents an ideal combination of gear to achieve that purpose. Inside Out sent them a set of photos of the equipment, and Vail Mountain Guides expressed interest. Attorneys for each business are meeting to negotiate a possible sale of the equipment.
